The Initiative for Agency and Development at the University of Arizona will host a conference co-organized with the Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE). Titled Targeting of the Poor, the conference will be held at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, on 8-9 November 2023. The event will provide a forum for presentation and discussion of the cutting-edge applied evaluation research on targeting of the poor and ultra-poor.

The conference’s academic leads are Tauhidur Rahman (University of Arizona), Fabrizio Felloni (Deputy Director, IOE) and Dr Indran A. Naidoo (Director, IOE). Mr Felloni will represent IOE in-person during the event. In particular, Mr Felloni will deliver introductory remarks, and participate in two panel discussions. In addition, Jeanette Cooke (Evaluation Officer, IOE), will participate in a panel discussion.

A selection of academic papers discussed during the conference will be considered for publication in an edited book.
