On 6 October 2023, IOE will hold a commemorative event to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of its independence. The IFAD President, Alvaro Lario, will preside the event, which will also feature the participation of distinguished members of the IFAD Evaluation Committee, representatives of IFAD senior Management, and IOE staff members.

The event will charter efforts made to enhance the international reputation of IOE, placing them within the context of the evolution of the office. Particular attention will be given to progress in the areas of leadership and strategy, advancing established outputs, generating new products, and improving communication.
