IFAD began working in Comoros in 1984.

To date, IFAD has supported six programmes in the country for a total of US $42.9 million (IFAD loan USD 23.1), benefiting about 60,855 poor rural households.

IFAD is currently pending the approval from the Comoro's parliament for the current programme: Family Farming Productivity and Resilience Support Project.
