The Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE) organized a technical workshop on the Georgia Country Strategy and Programme Evaluation and the impact evaluation of the Agricultural Support Project in Georgia.

The technical workshop took place on 6 December 2017, in Tbilisi.  Around 40  participants attended the workshop, including representatives from the Government, multilateral and bilateral development organizations, microfinance institutions, civil society organizations (national and international) and think tanks.

The objectives of the technical workshop were to share the methodology underpinning a country strategy and programme evaluation and the observations that emerge therefrom, and, present the methodology employed for measuring attributable evidence from the impact evaluation of the IFAD-funded Agricultural Support Project. A special feature of this workshop was the method labs on counterfactual methods and poverty diagnosis.
