The Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE) participated at the 2016 Australasian Evaluation Society Conference. The event was held on 19-21 September 2016 in Perth, Australia.

Fumiko Nakai, IOE Senior Evaluation Officer, delivered a presentation on Contributing to rural poverty reduction through accountability and learning: independent evaluation function at IFAD, which  introduced the second edition of the Evaluation Manual, as well as different types of products with examples. The presentation highlighted some aspects of the evaluation methodology and cycle and how stakeholders are involved in the processes to facilitate learning and adoption of recommendations from evaluations.
