The 3^rd APEA Conference and EvalFest 2022 took place virtually from 21 to 25 February 2022. The theme of the event, “Towards a Vibrant Evaluation Ecosystem: Creativity, Collaboration and Convergence”, reflected that the evaluation ecosystem needs to be energetic and dynamic, and respond to the emerging and evolving evaluation arena with proactive thinking.

The event was jointly organized by the Asia Pacific Evaluation Association (APEA), a regional evaluation network that aims to improve the theory, practice and use of evaluation across the Asia-Pacific region, and the Evaluation Community of India (ECOI), a voluntary organization of professional evaluators established in 2015 with objectives of promoting evaluation culture in the country and contributing to evaluation capacity building.

On 23 February, Mr Suppiramaniam Nanthikesan, Lead Evaluation Officer, Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD, participated as a panellist in the session entitled “Adaptation and Resilience to Climate Change: Lessons from Evaluations”. The session, which took place from 17.30-19.00 IST (13.00-14.30 Rome time), was organized by the Independent Evaluation Office of the Global Environment Facility.
