Learning event on the Corporate-Level Evaluation on IFAD’s Support to Innovations for Inclusive and Sustainable Smallholder Agriculture - IOE
The Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE) has organized a learning event on evaluating IFAD’s support to innovations for inclusive and sustainable smallholder agriculture. The event was held on Thursday, 8 October 2020, from 14.00-16.00 hrs CEST via Zoom Webinar.
The purpose of the learning event was to share experiences and the main findings of recent evaluations of IFAD’s support to rural innovations, as well as to promote dialogue across the Fund and with external stakeholders on the topic.
The event was opened by Fabrizio Felloni, Interim Officer-in-Charge, IOE, with remarks by Mr Donal Brown, Associate Vice-President, IFAD. Following a keynote address by Ms Irene Arias Hofman, CEO, IDB Lab, Inter-American Development Bank, IOE delivered a presentation on the recently conducted corporate-level evaluation on IFAD’s support to innovations for inclusive and sustainable smallholder agriculture. IFAD directors illustrated examples of successful innovations from their regions or areas, and IFAD’s Change, Delivery and Innovation (CDI) Unit discussed the Fund’s Innovation Action Plan. Mr Andrew Haley, Managing Director at Accenture, provided insights from the perspective of the private sector.
The virtual learning event was attended by over 110 people.
