Paolo Silveri is Lead Evaluation Officer at IOE. Before joining IOE, Paolo served as IFAD's Country Director for Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago. Paolo was also Lead Regional Economist for the Latin American and the Caribbean Division and Country Director in charge of various country programmes in the region. After consulting for IFAD since 1993, he served as Evaluation Officer between 1994 and 2005. Before joining IFAD, he was Country Director for the Italian NGO LVIA based in Rumeza, Burundi, Central Africa (1989-91), and Research Assistant at the EU Commission in Brussels, Belgium (1987-88).
