Paolo Silveri is a Lead Evaluation Officer at IOE. Prior to this, he served as Country Director for Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago. He was also Lead Regional Economist for the Latin American and the Caribbean Division and Country Director charge of various country programmes in the region – including Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and most of the Caribbean - between 2006 and 2018, when he was appointed Acting Director of IFAD’s Sustainable Production, Markets and Institutions. Among others, he holds diplomas in Governance, Management and Leadership from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University, USA, and INSEAD, France.
