On 6 March 2023, Fabrizio Felloni, Deputy Director, Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE), participated in the high-level conference on “Picking up the pace: Evaluation in a rapidly changing world”, convened by the Evaluation Division of the European Investment Bank (EIB) at its headquarters in Luxembourg.

Mr Felloni delivered a presentation on “Learning from COVID experience, enriching data collection methods and evaluation tools. Opportunities and challenges”, during Breakout Session 2: Innovative methods.

The EIB conference addressed how evaluation functions are adapting to respond to an increasing demand for just-in-time evaluation insights and how this is fostering innovations in the field of evaluation.
