The third session of the second edition of the IFAD Rural Development Course (IRDC) will take place on 11 October 2022. IFAD's Strategy and Knowledge Department (SKD) and IFAD’s Youth Network (IYN) will host the event. The discussion will focus on Community-Driven Development and will feature Johanna Pennarz, Lead Evaluation Officer in the Independent Office of Evaluation (IOE) with 20 years of experience in evaluation acquired working at IFAD, GIZ and ITAD. Among many other evaluations, she led the one on Community-Driven Development in IFAD Supported Projects.

In this 90-minute session, we will learn how community-driven development projects work, how IFAD has done in the past and what challenges face this type of projects.
