On 23 March 2023, the Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE) will host an Evaluation Practice Exchange Seminar organized under the auspices of the UN Evaluation Group (UNEG). Titled ‘Evaluation of Transformational Change for agricultural development’, the event will feature a presentation by Mònica Lomeña-Gelis, IOE Senior Evaluation Officer. In her presentation, Dr Lomeña-Gelis will prompt reflection on the challenges of evaluating (gender) transformational change, share experiences on tackling these challenges, and discuss how IFAD is currently evaluating Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment (GEWE) and gender transformative approaches.
