Simona has 15 years of experience in the international development arena, managing large development programs and leading complex evaluations across the globe. She has in-depth knowledge of evaluation methodologies and processes at the corporate, sector, country and project levels and of the evaluation architecture in large organizations. For IFAD, in addition to the preparation of the Evaluation Manual, she was the Lead Evaluator for various country level evaluations, impact evaluations and the Annual Report on the Results and Impact of Operations. Before joining IFAD, she was an Evaluation Specialist for finance and private sector operations at the Asian Development Bank.
