Johanna leads the team on project-level evaluations and evaluation synthesis in IOE. She has conducted strategic evaluations for IFAD, such as country strategy and programme evaluations, and evaluation synthesis. Johanna has been active in the evaluation community, presenting regularly at UNEG, EvalForward and ECG meetings. She also lectured at the Shanghai International Program for Development Evaluation Training (SHIPDET) in China. Previously, she has been Advisor on evaluation capacity development at the Office of the Prime Minister in Uganda, where she had a major role in developing the Ugandan Evaluation Standards, establishing the National Evaluation Week, and strengthening governance and membership of the national evaluation society.
