On 14 September 2023, Dr S. Nanthikesan (Lead Evaluation Officer at the Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD) will moderate a panel discussion during the Asian Evaluation Week 2023. Titled ‘Evaluations for Greening Development Policies’, the parallel session will bring together a range of key actors working to strengthen national climate responses. During the event, participants will gain an understanding of the importance of promoting evaluations to green development policies and practices. They will also identify existing bottlenecks to success and become aware of the steps to be taken by evaluations to promote such greening of development.

The session will be organized by IFAD, in collaboration with the Global Environmental Facility (GEF), the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), DEval, and the Government of Nepal.
