COP26 side event – Evidence-based transformative pathways to build climate resilience in the agricultural sector - IOE
The Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE), in collaboration with the Independent Evaluation Unit of the Green Climate Fund (IEU, GCF) and the German Institute for Development Evaluation (Deval), held an event on evidence emerging from IOE’s recent Thematic Evaluation of IFAD’s support to smallholder farmers’ adaptation to climate change, as well as evaluations conducted by the IEU and DEval. The event took place on 4 November 2021, from 9.00 to 10.30 GMT (10.00-11.30 CET).
The event discussed “What can be done by governments and development actors to scale up and replicate successful climate adaptation response?”
The panel included Mr Suppiramaniam Nanthikesan, Lead Evaluation Officer, IOE; Mr Andreas Reumann, Head, a.i., IEU; Mr Sven Harten, Deputy Director, DEval; Mr James Gasana, independent evaluator; and Mr Donal Brown, Associate Vice-President, IFAD. The talk-show-style session was moderated by Mr Indran Naidoo, Director, IOE.
