Bolivia Country Programme Evaluation - National Round-table Workshop - IOE
The Independent Office of Evaluation organized a national round-table workshop for the Bolivia country programme evaluation (CPE), in collaboration with the Government of Bolivia and the Latin America and Caribbean Division of IFAD.
The workshop was held on 4 April 2014 in La Paz with the following objectives: (i) discuss the main issues emerging from the Bolivia CPE; (ii) provide inputs for the preparation of the evaluation's Agreement at Completion Point; and (iii) reflect on the key issues and priority areas for the forthcoming Bolivia country strategic opportunities programme (COSOP).
The workshop was attended by more than 80 participants from: (i) the Ministry of Development Planning, the Ministry of Rural Development and Land, the Ministry of Environment and Water, the Ministry of Public Finance, and other concerned central government authorities; (ii) international organizations and bilateral cooperation agencies, such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, FAO, UNDP, DANIDA, and GIZ; and (iii) local authorities and non-governmental organizations. Beneficiaries of IFAD-funded projects in Bolivia (PROMARENA, PROSAT and VALE) also took part in the event.
On 3 April the IFAD delegation had an opportunity to undertake a field visit in the area of two IFAD-supported projects (VALE and PROSAT) to familiarize with the projects' interventions supporting local capacity development and community-driven productive investments.
